IRVINE, California (Mar 11, 2025): Thomas Global Systems has received Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) supplemental type certificate (STC) approvals for the installation of its TFD-4000 and TFD-4100 LCD flight display upgrades on Bombardier Challenger 604, Gulfstream G100/G200, Dassault Falcon 2000/2000EX/50EX, Saab 2000 and MHI CRJ Series aircraft. These latest certifications follow previously received FAA and EASA approvals for these aircraft models.

“These new approvals for the TFD-4000 and TFD-4100 LCD flight display upgrades show our commitment to helping regional and business jet owners and operators extend the life and value of their Collins Pro Line 4 flight decks,” said Angus Hutchinson, CEO of Thomas Global Systems. “These innovative LCD upgrades allow operators to continue flying their existing Pro Line 4 configuration, with dramatically improved display performance, reliability, efficiency, and long-term product support.”

“Options for long-term operation and support of Pro Line 4 displays have been limited,” said Craig Elliott, Vice President of Business Development. “There is still a lot of life left in Pro Line 4 flight decks, which has demonstrated success in achieving the mission needs of thousands of business and regional aircraft worldwide. With the TFD-4000/4100 products and Thomas Global Systems proven track record for technical excellence and reliable product support, we now have a practical and efficient upgrade solution for Pro Line 4 displays.”

The TFD-4000/4100 upgrades replace legacy Collins Aerospace EFD-4076/4077 Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays with advanced liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. Operators with Pro Line 4 avionics can now eliminate CRT display obsolescence, and benefit from the latest high-performance LCD technology, without the need for an expensive full cockpit retrofit, extensive aircraft downtime and crew retraining. The TFD-4000/4100 upgrades are interchangeable and intermixable with legacy Collins EFD-4076/4077 CRT displays.

The TFD-4000/4100 products leverage Thomas Global Systems’ proven technology currently operating across Boeing 767/757/737-C, MHI CRJ Series, ATR 42/72, Dash 8, Saab 340, EMB120 and other regional and business airframes.
