Community

Thomas Global’s contribution to the community began when the company was founded and has continued year after year as we help charities to raise funds, develop leaders and build stronger teams

Our vision is to make a meaningful difference to the communities in which we operate. Thomas Global gives in many ways – by allowing our team members time to support the causes they believe in, by donating time to our charitable partners and by donating money to charities. Our partners include:

  • Stepping Stone House
  • Royal Flying Doctor Service
  • Young Endeavour Youth Scheme

Young Endeavour Youth Scheme

The Young Endeavour, Youth Development program, is internationally recognized in the field of sail training. The experiential curriculum delivered onboard STS Young Endeavour by Royal Australian Navy personnel, over eleven days, sees young adults learn the skills to sail a tall ship. The program aims to equip participants with knowledge and skills for effective leadership, communications and collaboration.

The tall ship environment offers a unique and powerful platform to conduct outdoor education. Youth crew are taken out of their comfort zones and provided the tools to overcome physical and psychological challenges. The immersive nature of the program encourages youth to develop interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills rapidly, and foster an innate appreciation of the community.
